What happens to the details you send me, in plain English.
Who I am
Ben Gibson, trading as Websmith, a UK sole trader. I'm responsible for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach me at bgibson0204@gmail.com.
What I collect, and why
When you ask about a free call or Christmas pre-orders, I collect your name, business name, email address and phone number, plus whatever you choose to tell me. I use it only to reply to you and prepare for the conversation.
I also keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address (it can't be turned back into the address) for one purpose: limiting how often the form can be submitted, to stop spam.
My lawful basis is legitimate interests (replying to an enquiry you sent me) and taking steps at your request before a possible contract.
Who else handles it
- Heroku (Salesforce) hosts this website and the database your request is stored in.
- Resend sends the confirmation email to you and the notification email to me.
- Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal data.
I don't sell your data or use it for marketing lists.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your request after 12 months. If we do, it becomes part of our client records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Email me and I'll deal with it within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
